DESCRIPTION:Spring 2024 event – Asylums for the Feeling \n\n\n\nCorsham has been receiving intermittent dials which have increased in frequency and duration from an unknown off world address. The DHD Computer receives the correct initial data from off-world toindicate that the dial was initiated by an SEF member\, but no radio traffic follows and the various identification codes do not match anyone on records. Even more strangely\, the return dial comes backinvalid and does not establish connection. \n\n\n\nMore recently\, the gate has been opening for 38 minutes\, the maximum amount of time a gate can sustain… \n\n\n\n*** \n\n\n\nAsylums for the Feeling is a “Clip Show” style event which will focus on moments from each attending characters past. Linears will take a moment from each character and “twist” them slightly. SUMMARY:Read Between The Lines
DESCRIPTION:The SEF found a Gate address at a dig site near Basra. The ancient city was only recently found beneath the shifting sands after the long unending wars of bombs\, atrocities\, western political agendas and tribe fighting tribe had ceased. \n\n\n\nThey can’t tell which galaxy the address relates to\, the order and nature of the symbols is different to what they’ve seen before but human curiosity is inevitable. \n\n\n\nThe probe reported breathable air\, life signs and basic structures. Stargate group epsilon were sent through and reported back that they had arrived and set up base camp. SUMMARY:Event 58 - Fulcrum
DESCRIPTION:2020 marks the 5th anniversary of the end of the Aethernaut War. The war marked a significant shift in the awareness of Humanity regarding their place in the cosmos. Suddenly\, Aliens were real\, and up in the sky. Nations vanished in nuclear fire\, and humanity battled for its existence. Since then\, the SEF have become front page news. \nThere’s still a lot of unknowns in the minds of the common Earthling. And uncertainty can breed fear. To help bring together people\, and stave off the brewing xenophobia\, the British Museum\, in association with several other major museums around the world are planning on putting on a series of displays and exhibits. To show the world what is out there\, and put a familiar face on it. \nCo-incidentally\, the SEF Experience is also opening up their new “Corsham Story” exhibit. So Command have taken the opportunity to “review” the exhibits before they go on public display. \nAlongside this\, this provides a perfect opportunity to both look back at what has happened over the last 5 years\, and the friends we have lost along the way\, as well as looking forward to what is going on in the world. DESCRIPTION:Since the SEF were last in the Magellanic Clouds at Christmas\, things have continued to get more “interesting”. The threat of the Black Goo / Pseudomatter infestation has become more apparent\, and the Crusade have become more desperate in their search for the “Gates to Heaven”. \nDuring all of this\, the Scrappers have been trying to rebuild what they lost. New homes\, new worlds\, new people. But there are dangers still lurking out there. And right now\, these dangers are bearing down on the few who remain steadfast against it all. \nThe Scrappers have requested the assistance of the SEF again\, to help assess the ongoing situation\, and make a difference to those who escaped to The Clouds to find a new life in a safe home. This is not expected to be an easy deployment\, but a rewarding one.

SUMMARY:Event 54 - The Edge of the World
DESCRIPTION:Magellan\, gateway to the Magellanic Clouds\, the only known Stargate location that bridges our home galaxy and these twin dwarf galaxies within its orbit. Many refugees from recent and past galactic conflicts have fled through this world seeking refuge in the hope of peaceful worlds far removed from the recent upheavals in the Milky Way. These disparate groups have come together to survive\, they scavenge and scrape together a living in the Clouds\, these ‘Scrappers’ are an emerging faction in the Galaxy\, their control of the Magellan bridge-world makes them of special importance for the SEF’s ongoing mission statement of exploration\, as the Magellanic Clouds offer a whole new region barely investigated by the SEF. \nFirst contact with these refugees happened nearly two years ago\, when the SEF encountered them during a search and rescue operation which evolved into a confrontation with the fanatical ‘Crusade’. The SEF thwarted the Crusade\, but at the cost of one of their own\, Dr Alba Cross\, who gave up her physical form to become one with an ancient machine of a forgotten race. \nNow\, the time has come to return to Magellan\, not on a mission of mercy this time\, but one of friendship. The ‘Scrappers’ have reached out to Earth and the Alliance\, seeking aid in maintaining the stability brought about by the SEF’s intervention. Alliance forces have aided the Scrappers in the construction of an Outpost on Magellan\, giving them a hub to train and control traffic through the bridge-world’s gate. \nNobody likes to work on Christmas\, but the SEF have drawn the short straw\, arriving to relieve the Alliance forces at the outpost on Magellan over the winter holidays\, at a time where the locals are looking worriedly towards new challenges to their young faction.

SUMMARY:Event 53 - Toil and Tribulation
DESCRIPTION:Incoming wormhole at Corsham. After stabilisation\, a transmission begins. The transmission repeats three times then there is a pause before the wormhole closes again.\n\n \n\nThe transmission\, when analysed\, contains several distinct data streams which can be decoded. These data streams are presumed to contain the same message in several languages\, one of which is recognisable as Ancient\, one seems to be an audio message in Latin\, and another seems similar to older forms of Uto-Aztecan languages but there is no direct correlation.\n\n \n\nThe Latin is as follows:\n\n \n“Aztlán periculum sit in aethra siderea polus a CREPITUS. Quaeso\, mitte ipsum auxilium primaria singulorum ut instaurarent systems. Signa nostra situm deinde enumerantur. Habemus autem in loco securitatis causa non nocere.”\n \n\nOnce translated from Latin\, the message is revealed to be a distress call:\n\n \n“Aztlan danger in heaven bright with sunlight from the explosion. I beg you\, send it to the carpenters to repair the very help for the primary systems. Our next location of the signs listed. But we have this in a place of security are to the cause\, do no harm.”\n \n\nA Stargate address is also listed. Opinions on the last phrase from on-base experts believe that the message is saying that the gate is in a secure location\, but that any security systems will not harm those who go to help.\n\n \n\nThe world that the message indicates is at the far edges of the galaxy\, but still within the Milky Way. Dial testing indicates that the receiving gate will not accept incoming wormholes from the SEF alpha sites.

SUMMARY:Event 51 - Thunder and Consolations
DESCRIPTION:The seasons have turned and the Butterfly Gate has opened to reveal Amaterasu’s Bridge of Stars. The SEF\, once again\, are able to travel to the mysterious Empire of the Sun\, on the far side of the Draco constellation\, beyond this galaxy. Rumours have arisen that the monstrous alien race known as ‘the Husks’ are increasingly pressing at the Empire’s defences and if they break through\, they pose a real risk to humanity. And\, perhaps more importantly\, information has been received that the SEF’s erstwhile ally\, and more recent enemy\, Doctor F Kastagir\, is active in the area. \nAfter nearly five years of Kastagir’s machinations\, the command has come down. It’s time to deal with this mad man of science\, one way or another\, once and for all.

DESCRIPTION:You are cordially invited to the opening of the Delphi Observatory\, the first true united Earth base ever built\, and the Alexandria Spaceport\, a neutral location on the dark side of the moon for trade and diplomatic vessels to dock on the moon. \nA place of commerce\, and diplomacy for humans and aliens – a shining beacon into space\, all alone in the night. \nAt the inauguration of the United Nations of Earth\, after all the trials and tribulations of the past years\, it is now time to look ahead… to the stars. \nWith the completion of the majority of the Delphi Observatory\, and the near readiness of the Alexandria Spaceport\, the member states of the United Nations of Earth will be hosting their inauguration on the only truly neutral piece of real estate that exists. The visitors’ centre of Delphi. \nIn recognition for their work in saving the Earth\, the SEF have been invited\, and invitations to a number of worlds to send trade vessels to show that Earth is “open for business” after the events of the past few years. \nThere will be a general meet and greet on the Friday\, followed by breakfast on the Saturday\, then a Canape Reception for the UNE Dignitaries\, then a formal dinner with members of the other Alliance Races and the UNE Dignitaries. \nMembers of the SEF will be flown to the observatory by Ministry Of Extra Terrestrial Trade ships from RAF Brize Norton
